Last week, our countdown to Breakpoint brought us into the data weeds with Four Charts to Watch that could get you feeling bullish on Solana as we head into the conference.

While the charts are largely reflective of work already done, Breakpoint is all about what’s next, and that future is carried by the teams in attendance that you may have a chance to run into.

In that spirit, we dove into the human element this week and caught up with three standout teams to get their take on Breakpoint and share what they’ve been cooking. We also offered to lend a helping BD hand, giving anyone reading this the opportunity to submit a direct request to connect with the teams at Breakpoint (no guarantees, but we’ll be reviewing all requests and passing anything promising onwards).

For Breakpoint, we’re also setting out to show how seriously we believe that a good VC adds value through their network.

At the conference, we’ll be opening up our network, so if you’re looking to meet the right people and move your roadmap forward, stop by the RockawayX lounge and ask for a warm introduction. More details to come!

Lulo

Breakpoint Outlook

For Lulo, Breakpoint is exciting because it arrives at a moment when consumer DeFi is accelerating across neobanks, social finance apps, and lightweight trading tools. The sector is evolving quickly, and the conference presents an opportunity to get an informational edge.

More specifically, Lulo is interested in learning more about the teams building new yield sources, consumer apps preparing to integrate yield into their core experience, and institutions or funds looking for more risk-managed exposure to DeFi. EURO-based yield is also a major area of emphasis. Each of these products offers (or will offer) yield as a part of their offering, and Lulo is looking to see how it could get involved.

Connecting With Others

At Breakpoint, Lulo says they'll absolutely spend time connecting with friends and partners first to ensure they continue to cultivate those relationships, but at the same time, their primary focus is on establishing new relationships. They'll make a list of potential b2b leads to guide their approach, but overall will largely keep things loose and let the event play out for them.

Lulo is prioritizing conversations with small teams that want to build with Lulo, bigger companies looking to expand yield, funds/institutions looking to invest in onchain yield, and are also leaving the door open for wildcard teams that want to move fast and have clear ideas. In terms of networking tips, the team says to focus on making friends in a genuine and organic way (don't try to close the deal on the spot, it's probably not the time). The business elements will flow naturally from there.

Lulo Today

Inside Lulo, the outlook is optimistic. Insured DeFi, euro-denominated yield, and the expansion of their API business are all front and center from a prioritization standpoint. The focus now is on rapid validation to determine which direction should scale fastest.

For anyone at Breakpoint building a consumer-facing financial product, Lulo is one of the most relevant teams to speak with. And for anyone who wants to try what they are building today, the entry point is as simple as it has always been: get the app, deposit, and earn.

OnRe

Breakpoint Outlook

OnRe enters Breakpoint with a clear sense of momentum, fueled by rising industry demand for real-world yield and growing interest in reinsurance as one of the most durable opportunities in the RWA category.

The team is approaching the week with a strategy focused on getting in front of serious allocators searching for yield-bearing assets, connecting with DeFi teams that value composability and long-term utility, and reinforcing the partnerships that will help ONyc scale across Solana. They’re prioritizing intentional meetings over noisy, high-traffic events, opting for curated introductions and targeted conversations that can translate into integrations, vault strategies, and new aggregation pathways.

With strong progress to showcase since launch and a clear vision for the next phase of development, OnRe arrives at Breakpoint aiming to strengthen key relationships, spark new integrations, and solidify its position as the home for real-world yield on Solana.

CEO Dan Roberts will also be speaking on Day 2 of Solana Money Summit.

Connecting With Others

OnRe is approaching Breakpoint with a networking strategy built around depth, not volume. The team is leaning on warm introductions from investors, partners, and existing relationships, and has packed the week with pre-scheduled, in-person meetings that create space for real, substantive conversations. Their priority is to connect with funds actively searching for yield-bearing assets and DeFi teams building strategies, vaults, aggregation layers, or structured products, along with strategy-first builders like Loopscale and Carrot who think deeply about cross-product composability.

While the team remains open to meeting new groups, they’re giving slightly more weight to strengthening relationships that already have momentum behind them. Their advice for anyone trying to navigate Breakpoint is to book meetings ahead of time, rely on warm introductions where possible, and always follow up after a good conversation.

OnRe today

The two words that best capture how OnRe is heading into Breakpoint are “aligned and focused.”

The team feels a clear sense of momentum, with new integrations underway and strong interest coming from both sides of the market (allocators searching for durable, uncorrelated yield and DeFi teams looking to anchor their strategies in stable real-world cash flows). Internally, the energy is high and the roadmap is full, supported by the belief that Solana remains the ideal environment for what they are building because it combines speed, technical depth, and a close-knit community that values products designed to last.

For anyone at Breakpoint exploring new sources of real-world yield, the best starting point is ONyc, OnRe’s flagship yielding dollar asset backed by collateral returns and reinsurance premiums. It is resilient, fully composable across Solana DeFi, and designed to scale as more teams begin integrating stable, uncorrelated cash flows into their products.

Squads

Breakpoint Outlook

Squads is heading into Breakpoint with the strongest momentum the team has experienced to date. The platform now secures more than $2.2 billion in stablecoins on Solana, an all-time high that reinforces its position as the leading solution for stablecoin treasury management and reflects the deep trust builders place in its security and reliability. This year has been defined by execution, and for the first time, Squads is bringing both Altitude and Grid to Breakpoint as fully live products built on the same infrastructure that has safeguarded Solana’s largest teams for years.

The entire Squads team will be onsite, giving partners direct access to every decision maker and allowing the company to move quickly as it meets with teams across the ecosystem. They will also be exhibiting with custom installations designed to give visitors a clear, tangible understanding of how Squads works and what is coming next. Their primary goal for the week is to onboard teams to Altitude, Squads’ business account designed for global teams operating in stablecoins. Altitude is not a bank, but rather what teams want a modern bank to be: a stable, predictable, and secure way to run global operations in stablecoins with the clarity and safety that Squads has become known for.

CEO Stepan Simkin and Grid Lead Carlos Noriega will be presenting at the conference.

Connecting With Others

For Squads, Breakpoint is about depth over volume. The team is prioritizing in-person conversations with builders across the ecosystem, focusing on understanding what teams need and identifying where Squads can help them operate more safely and efficiently. They are looking to meet groups that are committed to the industry for the long term, from early-stage startups to established institutions preparing for their next phase of growth.

Balancing existing relationships with new connections is an intentional part of their plan. Squads has structured its onsite presence to do both, reinforcing partnerships already in motion while meeting the next wave of teams building on Solana. Their advice for anyone navigating the conference is to have a clear focus, show up on time, be authentic, and always follow up. You never know which conversation will become the foundation for what you will build together in the future.

Squads today

Squads arrives at Breakpoint in a period of clear acceleration. With Altitude and Grid now fully live and hundreds of teams onboarded over the past two months, the company is operating with a level of pace and confidence that reflects how quickly real adoption is taking shape. Internally, the team feels energized, aligned, and focused on scaling the products that are already resonating across the ecosystem.

From Squads’ perspective, Solana remains the natural environment for building stablecoin financial infrastructure. The ecosystem continues to attract serious talent and committed builders, and the network’s performance gives Squads the foundation it needs to deliver secure and predictable treasury operations for global teams.

For anyone looking to get involved today, the best entry point is simply to start using the products. Altitude and Grid are live and evolving quickly, and hands-on feedback is directly shaping what comes next. For builders interested in joining the team itself, Squads also continues to hire, with open roles listed on their job board.

Setting The Tone

Breakpoint is always a snapshot of where Solana is headed next, and this year, teams like Lulo, OnRe, and Squads are helping define that trajectory.

Each team is entering the week with momentum and is actively looking to connect with high-impact people (e.g., not the X engagement boost shills filling your DMs) who could help positively shape their next phase.
